### Before The Posh Girls Club, before Silicon Valley, before the courses, the corporate titles, the strategy decks and everything I know now about customer experience—there was Posh Life Bling.

And a girl who was very good at figuring things out.

I started my first business long before I knew the language for most of what I was doing.

I didn't call it brand positioning.

I didn't call it customer experience.

I didn't have a funnel, a content calendar or an AI assistant helping me think through the next move.

I had an idea, a ridiculous amount of determination, a house with two little boys in it, and a belief that I could make something people would want.

So I did.

## The Bling Era ![Screenshot 2025-07-17 151107](https://www.theposhgirlsclub.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202025-07-17%20151107.png?width=348&height=424&name=Screenshot%202025-07-17%20151107.png)

Posh Life Bling started with rhinestones.

Lots and lots of rhinestones.

I hand-placed them myself, creating crystal-covered phone cases and accessories from home while raising my sons. What began as something I could build with my own two hands eventually became a brand whose products landed in the hands of some of the most recognizable women in pop culture.

Beyoncé. Paris Hilton. Khloé Kardashian. NeNe Leakes.

There were celebrities photographed with my pieces, products showing up around major entertainment events, backstage opportunities and moments that—looking back now—still make me think:

**How in the hell did I pull that off?**

I didn't have a giant PR agency behind me.

I didn't have venture capital.

I didn't have a sophisticated growth team analyzing my customer acquisition costs.

Half the time, I was figuring out the next move while I was making the current one.

And somehow, it worked.

But the celebrity photos were never the most important part of that story.

The important part was figuring out **why people cared.**

## I Thought I Was Selling Bling. I Was Actually Learning Branding.

People could buy a phone case anywhere.

They didn't need mine.

That's something I understand much more clearly today than I did then.

There are very few things we sell that people truly *need* to buy from us. They have choices. Usually lots of them.

So the real question has always been:

**Why you?**

Back then, I didn't have sophisticated language for the answer.

I just knew that opening a package from Posh Life Bling needed to *feel* like something.

The pink mattered.

The sparkle mattered.

The photographs mattered.

The way I talked to my customers mattered.

The celebrities mattered—not simply because they were famous, but because they helped create a world people wanted to be part of.

My customers weren't only buying rhinestones glued to a phone case.

They were buying a little glamour. A little audacity. A little *extra.*

They were buying into the story.

And without realizing it, I was learning one of the principles that would eventually shape almost everything I believe about business:

**The product is only part of what people buy.**

They also buy the experience around it.

## sparkle fix.![197116\_1008311374030\_608\_n](https://www.theposhgirlsclub.com/hs-fs/hubfs/197116_1008311374030_608_n.jpg?width=247&height=300&name=197116_1008311374030_608_n.jpg)

## What Nobody Saw

The glamorous part makes for much better pictures.

The rest of it built me.

There were incredibly long days. Glue burns. Orders. Inventory. Shipping problems. Bills that didn't stop coming because I was tired.

There were two children who still needed their mother while their mother was trying to build something.

There were mistakes.

There were ideas I was convinced would work that didn't.

There were things I had to learn because there wasn't anyone else sitting beside me whose job it was to know them.

When you're building something yourself, eventually every problem finds its way to your desk.

Marketing problem?

Yours.

Customer problem?

Yours.

Money problem?

Definitely yours.

And that's where I learned something else I've carried with me ever since:

**Resourcefulness is a business skill.**

I didn't always know what to do.

I became very good at figuring out what to do next.

There's a difference.

## And Then I Started Teaching

Eventually, what I had learned from building became something other women wanted to understand.

How do you create a brand people remember?

How do you show up?

How do you sell without disappearing inside whatever everybody else in your industry is doing?

How do you take what is in your head and turn it into something another human being actually understands—and wants?

That evolution led me into courses, coaching, live video, community and teaching women how to own the room long before personal branding became the industry it is today.

And I loved it.

But my story didn't stay there either.

Because somewhere along the way, I walked into an entirely different world.

## The Chapter Most People Never Saw![Screenshot 2026-06-19 145831](https://www.theposhgirlsclub.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202026-06-19%20145831.png?width=272&height=483&name=Screenshot%202026-06-19%20145831.png)

If you followed me during the Bling years or the earlier Posh Girls Club years, there is a good chance you missed an enormous part of what came next.

I went into tech.

And eventually, Silicon Valley.

For years, I wasn't documenting my life online the way I had before.

I didn't become boring.

**There were chapters I never shared.**

Behind the scenes, I was learning business from an entirely different vantage point.

I worked in community, brand experience, customer education and customer success. I built programs. I trained people. I helped create learning experiences designed not merely to attract someone—but to get them from *I signed up* to *I know what I'm doing now.*

At SV Academy, I helped build programming that prepared people for careers across sales, customer success, account management, implementation and revenue operations. I worked alongside leaders and companies operating in an ecosystem completely different from the one where I'd started with rhinestones and a pink desk.

And suddenly I had language for things I'd understood instinctively twenty years earlier.

**Acquisition. Adoption. Retention. Customer journey. Experience.**

The girl with the rhinestones and the woman working in Silicon Valley were studying the same fundamental problem from opposite ends:

**What makes a person say yes—and what makes them glad they did?**

That question changed everything for me.

## I Didn't Come Back to Start Over

This is the part of my story I think I've only recently understood myself.

For a long time, these chapters felt separate.

There was Bling Tori.

Business Tori.

Silicon Valley Tori.

Corporate Tori.

And now, whatever version of me you're meeting here.

But they were never different women.

Each one taught the next one something.

Posh Life Bling taught me how to create desire.

Building community taught me how to create belonging.

Teaching taught me how to turn what I know into something useful for somebody else.

Silicon Valley taught me how to think about the entire customer journey—not simply the moment somebody buys.

And life taught me something perhaps even more important:

**You are allowed to edit.**

Your business.

Your ideas.

Your career.

Your relationships.

Your definition of success.

Yourself.

Changing your mind doesn't erase everything that came before it.

Sometimes it proves you learned from it.

## So, Why The Posh Girls Club?

Because twenty years later, I'm still fascinated by the same thing:

**Why do people choose what they choose?**

Why do they stop scrolling?

Why do they trust one brand and ignore another?

Why do they buy?

Why do they stay?

Why do some businesses with incredible products struggle while others create customers who can't stop talking about them?

I've come to believe something that now sits at the center of how I approach business:

**Businesses don't always have revenue problems. A lot of them have customer experience problems.**

Somewhere between what they're selling and what their customer is experiencing, something isn't connecting.

And that's the work I'm interested in now.

Not helping you become louder for the sake of being louder.

Not convincing you that you need twelve more offers.

Not giving you another list of things the algorithm supposedly wants this week.

I'm interested in helping you build something that earns the right for somebody to say **yes.**

And then making sure the experience after that yes is worthy of it.

## Twenty Years Later

There's something wonderfully full-circle about building The Posh Girls Club now.

I'm still the woman who loves a beautiful brand.

I still believe presentation matters.

I still believe the smallest detail can completely change how something feels.

And yes, there will probably always be a little sparkle somewhere.

But today, I understand something my younger self couldn't have articulated:

**Pretty gets attention. Experience builds businesses.**

So no, I'm not starting over.

I'm building with twenty years of receipts.

And somehow, all those rhinestones were teaching me exactly what I needed to know.

**XX PoshTori**

## 💋 You're caught up. Now come with me.

**The Red Lipstick Era** is where I write about what comes next—the business decisions, personal edits, lessons, reinventions and occasional *what the hell am I doing?* moments that don't always make it to social media.

No blueprint for becoming a whole new person.

Just a woman trusting herself enough to choose what's next.
